A Farm in Four Countries - 1953 Part 8

Description

This film describes European agriculture and how it has benefited from new and improved farming methods. Near Chartres, France, centuries-old inherited farm holdings are being consolidated to permit more rational use of the land. In Austria's mountainous Donnerbach Valley, electrically-powered winches are used to draw plows. West Germany's Vossenach forest, destroyed in the war, has been cleared to accommodate refugee farmers from East Germany. A Marshall Plan film, produced by John Ferno, narrated by Norman Wooland, directed by Nelo Risi, and produced by Ferno Productions, Paris, for MSA.
