Shark! Part 2

Description

This film covers research carried out by several institutions and individuals in the area of shark behavior in the sea as well as under controlled aquatic conditions. 1) Underwater scenes of several sharks, including a hammerhead as they swam about the footage also shows several divers in the area of the sharks. 2) Civilian researcher who maintains records for the U.S. Navy on shark attacks is shown in an office as he displayed shark's jaws and records of shark attacks. 3) An individual in a large tank of water is shown first with black, then green, then yellow shark repellent around him. 4) High angle (HA) shot of exteriors of the University of Miami Marine Institute. 5) At the University of California, Long Beach, a researcher is shown on a flotation device off the coast of California, as he dropped a sounding device into the water. HA shot of underwater scenes of a large number of sharks as they gathered around the device. 6) Underwater scenes of a diver as he provoked a grey reef shark into pre-attack behavior. 7) Laboratory scenes of researcher as he examined the retina of a great white shark, using an electron microscope. 8) Scene shows a shark as it was conditioned, like Pavlov's dog, to blink its eyes in response to light. 9) Underwater scenes of U.S. Navy researchers in a transparent diving bubble, as they observed sharks. 10) Scenes of sharks of various sizes in pools at Mote Marine Laboratory, Sarasota, Florida. 11) A shark, as it was repelled by the use of an electrical barrier in a pool at Mote Marine Laboratory. 12) Underwater scenes of a diver as he struck a shark with a CO2 gun. 13) Footage shows an individual as he demonstrated the shark screen, followed by underwater scenes of sharks swimming past the screen.
