Description

1) A to G HA MS Port beam view of the USS AMERICA (CVA-66) with USS RICHARD F. BYRD (DDG-23) along the port quarter refueling from the USS AMERICA; PAN slowly around the stern of the AMERICA. VG 2) A to G MS Stern view of the USS AMERICA refueling the USS RICHARD F. BYRD (DDG-23) off the port quarter; USS WILLIAM R. RUSH (DD-714) off the starboard beam; slow PAN around the starboard quarter of the AMERICA during the underway refueling; several a/c seen potted forward. G 3) A to G HA MCU Starb'd beam view of the USS AMERICA (CVA-66) with the USS WM. R. RUSH along the starboard side refueling from the AMERICA; a/c seen on the flight deck starboard and forward sides. VG 4) A to G HA CU APN Around the bow if the USS AMERICA, the USS RUSH off the starboard side being refueled, the USS BYRD off the port quarter, several a/c parked on the bow area of the USS AMERICA, A-3B's, A-4C's and F-4B's; PAN on around the port side of the ship around to the USS BYRD underway off the port quarter. VG 5) HA MS Looking down over the crewmen on board the USS WILLIAM R. RUSH during the refueling at sea. VG 6) HA MS Crewmen on the helicopter deck of the USS RUSH during the refueling; the refueling hose secured, men are in life jackets. VG 7) HA MS Looking down over the port side of the bow of the USS RUSH, fuel line over to the forward station; PAN starts along the starb'd side along the water line and up over the fantail of the USS RUSH; crewmen on the fantail; wake of the USS RUSH in the BG. VG 8) LA LS Looking down across the flight deck to the UH-2A helicopter in the BG, rooters engaged; nose of a RA-5C in the R FG; tail section of an F-4B in the L medium G; hospital corpsmen around the helicopter in the BG with stretchers; off-loading wounded personnel of the USS LIBERTY (AGTR-5); two men rush up to the hatch of the helicopter with an empty stretcher; flight deck personnel looking on from the R BG and FG. G (Taken quite a distance away from the activity) 9) A to G CU PAN Around the stern of the USS RICHARD F. BYRD (DDG-23) off the starboard quarter of the USS AMERICA being refueled; PAN around the stern of the carrier; few a/c parked on the after part of the flight deck. G 10) A to G CU Starb'd beam view of the USS RUSH up along the starb'd beam of the AMERICA being refueled; PAN up to the R along the starboard side of the AMERICA and the RUSH showing a/c up on the forward part if the flight deck, spotted forward. VG 11) A to G ECU PAN Around the bow of the USS AMERICA (CVA-66) showing A-4C's, F-4B's, A-3D's parked in a group on the forward part of the flight deck; PAN around to the port side showing the USS BYRD along the port quarter of the AMERICA refueling from the carrier; PAN continues around to the port beam of the USS BYRD. VG 12) A to G HA MS Stern view of the AMERICA refueling the BYRD and the RUSH. G 13) A to G HA CU Starb'd beam view of the USS AMERICA (CVA-66) with the USS WM. R. RUSH (DD-714) in the FG off the starboard side being refueled; PAN slowly down the starboard side of the AMERICA showing several a/c parked forward. VG 14) A to G HA CU PAN Around the bow of the AMERICA showing the USS RUSH off to the L, the USS BYRD off to the R, both ships being refueled at sea from the USS AMERICA; PAN continues around to the port side of the carrier showing the landing strip clear. VG 15) A to G MS Port quarter view of the USS AMERICA refueling the USS BYRD off the port quarter; slow PAN around the stern of the AMERICA. VG 16) HA CU USS LIBERTY (ATGR-5), wounded crewmen surrounded by the officers of the AMERICA, hospital corpsmen and spectators. G 17) HA MCU Wounded members of the USS LIBERTY secured in stretchers on the hangar bay. G 18) CU Some of the wounded, some of the crew spectators in the hangar bay. VG 19) MCU Three of the wounded on stretchers, hospital corpsmen talking to two of the men, some wounded are standing in the BG with crutches. G 23) MS Wounded personnel on the flight deck, tremendous crowd of hospital corpsmen and wounded and crew spectators on the flight deck area. G 24) CU Two hospital corpsmen carrying one of the stretcher cases to the hatch-way of the C-1A.
