Rebuilding homes and harvesting meagre crops keep some healthy and housed, but many have to tighten their belts. 2. TORNADO DEVASTATION: In the outskirts of Detroit, in northern Ohio and in Windsor, Ontario, wrecked homes, farms and autos attest to the violence of a freak twister which roared across a wide area, killing scores and injuring hundreds. 3. AMMUNITION JETTISONED: ENGLAND - Hundreds of thousands of tons of unused ammunition and bombs are being dumped into the ocean, but many times more tons are still stored in huge dump areas.
