BORDER TORNADO - In this year of twisters, a tornado knifes its way across the Canadian border, leaving five dead and scores injured in Port Huron, Michigan and Sarnia, Ontario. The damage runs into the millions. 2. JET BOMBER RECORD: FLORIDA - The Air Force takes the wraps off its newest sky giant, the B-47. With refueling in mid-air, the Stratojet bombers shatter distance records with a 12,000-mile cruising range. 3A/B. ACES RETURN: CALIFORNIA - Captains McConnell and Fernandez arrive at Travis Air Force base with their new Distinguished Service Crosses, having bagged thirty Red MIG's in Korea between them. / MISS UNION LABEL: SEATTLE - When beautiful gals compete for honors anything can happen, and does. When Miss Shirley Givens walks away with the honors, organized labor's label gains new pulchritude. 4A/B. THE DANCER WINS PIMLICO - Native Dancer comes through by a neck to win the seventy-seventh running of the Preakness. He is hard pressed by Jamie K, an outsider, in a thrilling finish. / CANINE BLUEBLOODS: MADISON, NJ - The Welsh terrier Topflight Template of Twin Ponds takes top honors at the Morris and Essex show. He won over twenty-seven hundred entries in the nation's largest outdoor show.
