Highlighting the occasion are speeches by former President Truman and President Eisenhower. 2A/B/C/D. RED TURBO-JET - Russia proudly shows off the TU-114 turbo-jet airliner, a mammoth craft capable of flying 220 passengers non-stop from Moscow to New York. A new bid for technical supremacy. / YANG-TZE BRIDGE - Red China pulls out all the propaganda stops to celebrate the completion of a mile-long 2-deck bridge across the Yangtze, the first time the great river has been spanned. / SOLAR HOUSE - In Massachusetts, a close-up of a house whose sole source of heat is the Sun. The experimental heating plant collects the sun's energy to keep the house comfortable year-round. / ZOO NEWS - Spring is in the air at the San Francisco Zoo. Celia the Camel proudly shows off 1-day old Cecil, and the Tapirs introduce little "Watermelon." Duke the Tiger goes for a swim in the moat! 3. CUBAN SPORTS FESTIVAL MARRED - Cuba's sports festival is marred, first by the daring kidnapping of racing star Miguel Fangio just before the big race, a rebel move to disrupt the event, and then by tragedy on the track, when a car skids on an oil slick, and crashes into the crowd. 6 die in the disaster.
