The original release sheet reads: WORLD SERIES YANKEES BATS SINK REDS! It was all over in the first inning for the Cincinnati Reds when the Yankees erupted for five runs. The National Leaguers came back in the third with three tallies, but the mighty Yankees exploded again to wind up on top 13 to 5. It is the American Leaguers' 19th World Series title which they take - four games to one. KENNEDY CONFERS WITH RUSSIA'S GROMYKO A meeting that may decide the fate of man is held at the White House between Soviet Foreign Minister Andrei Gromyko and President Kennedy. The U.S. and Russia are reported still far apart on negotiations of the Berlin problem. PRINCESS MARGARET HAS TITLED HUSBAND NOW The Queen's sister returns from a holiday in Scotland with her husband. The once plain Mr. Armstrong-Jones is now the Earl of Snowden - he was invested with the title so that the Princess' expected child will not be born a commoner. SPORTS MICHIGAN BLASTS ARMY -- 38-8 The vaunted big guns of the Kaydets football team are effectively spiked by Michigan as the Wolverines stop them in the air and on the ground. Michigan adds insult to injry by running their third-stringers in the final quarter. MARYLAND DOWNS SYRACUSE - 22-21 In the last minute gamble, the Maryland Terrapins run a conversion try against Syracuse successfully and thus come out one point on top. It's a see-saw battle that sees the Terrapins snap right back every time they're headed by Syracuse.
