The original release sheet reads: 1. POMP AND CEREMONY ATTEND WORLD’S LAST MEMORIAL TO BRIAND: PARIS, FRANCE - The roads of the Republic lead to the capital as the bier of the apostle of peace is borne up the thronged Champs Elysee to the Place de la Concorde where an impressive array of all the fighting forces of the country honors the former Premier in a ritual reserved by the nation for its greatest citizens. Soldiers on foot and horse, cadets of St. Cyr, statesmen and diplomats, file by the coffin in solemn reverence for the one-time Nobel prize-winner. All along the way from Quai d’Orsy to the little cemetery at Passy thousands upon thousands wait for the cortege to pass and to pay their last respects to an idol journeying to his final rest. 2. CHARITY PLAN BEGUN BY SOCIETY SWEEPS COUNTRY BY STORM: NEW YORK, NY - To relieve want resulting from unemployment, the nation’s first families open the “Bock-Aid” community campaign. Blanketing the metropolis, the appeal is made to persons of every station in life to buy stamps supporting the movement and bring comfort to depression victims. Winston Lloyd Smith, Mrs. William Averill Harriman, Mrs. L.H. Paul Chapin, John D. Rockefeller, 3rd, and Mrs. Alexander Hamilton are but a few of the elite who put their shoulders to the wheel and lend their personal influence by soliciting subscribers. A progressive earnest endeavor to end the troubles of the needy. NEWS PARAGRAPHS: 3. SAVANNAH, GA - Goose adventurer deserts farm! — Odd companion prefers Gay White Way to rural haunts. 4. SHIKAT’S SENSATIONAL WIN INTRODUCES NEW HOPE FOR MAT CROWN: NEW YORK, NY - After a grueling 35 minutes of tortuous grappling the ex-champion pins the shoulders of the ponderous Pole, Leo Pinetzki, to the canvas, and earns the right to wrestle Jim Londos for the heavyweight title. The giant muscle-bender does not submit easily to the holds of the winner, but battles the leading contender to a standstill for most of the bout, until Shikat slips over a fast double headlock, twists the man-mountain around at his mercy and flops him down for a fall. The victory establishes Shikat as the logical title-bout claimant, and promises fireworks in the coming set-to. (LOCAL – ROCHESTER) WORLD OF INDUSTRY AGHAST AT SUICIDE. (LOCAL – CANADA) MOTOR SHOW.
