Through the aid of friends in Japan and the United States, they collect clothing and toys each month for these "adopted" youngsters of Young-Sang. Children living near the Air Force Base in Japan where Sergeant Hielison is stationed, make a house-to-house canvass gathering toys and clothing, bringing them to the Hielison "workshop." The neighbors meet in the Sergeant's home to help his wife in renovating the clothing and making home- made cookies. Once this is accomplished, the Far Eastern Air Force, 315th Division, helps the Sergeant and the youngsters load the bundles on one of the transport planes in which space is available.
